  With a psychology background, I knew I wanted to place my son in a nursery that felt emotionally safe and supported his psychological development. It wasn't about fancy facilities or brand names. For months, I felt nervous and unsure about "the right time" to start nursery. Until I toured Chapter One. After touring, I was still nervous (as every parent would be) but I felt a sense of relief that this was a place my son would feel loved and genuinely cared for. The place is designed for kids. The teachers are kind, caring, and treat the babies like their own. They prioritize consistency and structure. I am so happy to have found Chapter One!

  Both of my daughters have attended Chapter One Nursery, one of them starting as early as 3 months old until pre-KG. They both absolutely loved their time there. The staff is incredibly caring, and we truly considered them part of our family. The environment at Chapter One is warm and nurturing, providing the perfect balance of learning and play. My daughters developed a strong foundation in both academics and social skills, which made their transition to school seamless. The activities are thoughtfully planned, and the attention to each child’s individual needs is exceptional. As a parent, I deeply appreciated the open communication and the effort the team put into making sure the children felt safe, loved, and encouraged.   It's not a small thing to put a baby into nursery care, and I had some reservations before I visited "Chapter One". Having sent older children to nursery several years ago and seen friends struggle to find the right place, I had low expectations and a lot of questions to ask. I have to give a special mention to Nicola, who hosted our first visit and who also manages the youngest children directly. Every concern I had was answered before I needed to ask: e.g. all staff have first aid training. There are policies and procedures, written check lists and transparent, accountable processes for everything you'd imagine and a few more. The safeguarding culture is strong, from not leaving children alone even in the nap room to something as simple as asking permission to use children's images in shared media (and noting and respecting where that permission is not given). More than anything, the staff at Chapter One give the unmistakable conviction that they love what they do and take it very seriously. My wife and I were both sold before we'd even finished the tour, and walked out feeling that a weight had been lifted. Now that our child has settled (instantly!) into Chapter One, we simply could not be happier with how her mornings are spent. Real-time updates to us on every nap, feed and nappy change appear, plus a daily bonus of photographs and a description of the main activities, each designed with clear and useful sensory and developmental goals. It is not just a matter of having someone look after a child while the parents are working. We feel that by putting her into Chapter One she is getting more stimulation and attention than she could get even at home and we are actually investing in her growth. Chapter One is an outstanding operation run with impressive professionalism by people who seem to love what they do. Five stars, for real!
