Ellesmere Muscat International School

Ellesmere Muscat International School, formerly known as Alruwad International School, is a vibrant co-educational institution located in Muscat, Oman. Founded in 2012 as Alruwad International School, it welcomed its first students from Kindergarten to Grade 4 for the 2013-2014 academic year. A significant milestone was achieved in February 2016 when the school received accreditation from the Alberta government, solidifying its status as a licensed Alberta International School. In August 2018, the secondary school opened, expanding the campus with purpose-built learning spaces equipped with modern amenities. A historic achievement occurred in 2021 when AIS became the first Omani International Baccalaureate Continuum (IB) K-12 World School in Muscat, offering the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, and the Diploma Programme. In January 2024, the school rebranded as Ellesmere Muscat, following a groundbreaking education partnership in 2023 with the esteemed Ellesmere College, UK. This alliance aims to provide students with a distinct educational advantage. Ellesmere Muscat offers a unique blend of gold standard IB education, proudly grounded on universal values and traditional Omani values. The school is renowned for its innovative approach to teaching and learning, emphasizing inquiry, stimulating curiosity, and fostering comprehension and creativity.
