As a parent, I can tell you the Odyssey Nursery, Khalifa City branch is one of the best nurseries based on my own experience as I enrolled my three children there starting with the eldest in 2016 all the way down to my youngest; the teachers are really friendly and the staff is extremely qualified.

Sending my son to Odyssey Khalifa City A was one of the best decisions I made. He was placed in the 2-3 year group class Mangroves and I couldn’t be happier with the wonderful team in charge of the class, especially the absolutely brilliant teachers - . Ms. Lamia and Ms. Rasha, and also the class assistants Ms. Romela, Ms. Juliet, Ms. Jo and Ms. Jean, who all supported my son so lovingly during the past year. It has been joyful to watch my son develop and grow in all aspects after joining Odyssey and blossom into a child who loves and looks forward to going to school everyday. As a parent, it is deeply fulfilling to see your child’s genuine happiness and pride in being a part of his school, and this can only be possible with a truly amazing team of staff that the school has. It is with a heavy heart that I move my child to big school leaving nursery behind, but I am so grateful to Odyssey for preparing him for big school by laying such a strong and happy academic foundation and love for learning. I wish all success to everyone at Odyssey Khalifa City A and couldn’t recommend this nursery enough to any hesitant parents.

My son has started Odyssey when he was only 19 months old back in October 2020. This was the time when the nurseries were allowed to re-open during Covid but there were many regulations they had to comply with in order to pass the ADEK inspection to re-open. I have emailed countless nurseries in various locations with a number of questions first so I could visit the ones that would fit what I was looking for. Odyssey was one of the few who have patiently answered my long questionnaire and have scheduled a visit. Again at this point I have visited a number of nurseries that was a good fit on paper but none actually struck a cord like Odyssey. While I was of course impressed with the facilities, it was more how I was explained the Reggio approach and the hundred languages; I knew I found our new home. They were also one of the very first nurseries at the time to be allowed to re-open having passed the inspection. I have to mention this was not our first nursery experience, my son has been in 3 nurseries before (2 nursery chains, 1 different branch) when he was 4-12 months old until the nurseries were shut down due to Covid so I knew exactly what I was looking for; both in terms of what I wanted and I didn’t want at all. Fast forward 3 years later, my son is now 4.5 years old and has started big school. He has spent 3 full years at Odyssey every single day from 07:30 to 17:00 except maybe 20-30 days a year due to holiday or sickness. The fact that they offer extended hours and camps during term holidays, I have managed to survive without needing extra help all these years as a single parent working full time. I couldn’t feel more at ease leaving him with the best and caring people every day and not worrying about his wellbeing at all. Even when I went to collect him at 5pm, he would still want to stay and play or show me something in the lovely outdoor space. I was able to look at the photos and updates provided via the app and I was able to communicate with the teacher using the app as well which was convenient. Leela’s Lunches has been a life saver so i didn’t need to worry about packing breakfast, lunch and snacks which is a great offering especially if you are a working mom looking for some time saving opportunities. There has been some memorable days as well be it the international day, petting zoo, drums, sports, trip to the emirates zoo to name a few. The twice weekly splash days have always been a big hit with my son. The graduation was so well organized I felt like they weren’t a bunch of 3-4 year olds but teens finishing off high school - it was a such a a great memory. We haven’t signed up but they have also offered some extracurricular activities such as karate, ballet, football, etc. which is great for those interested. I also loved the fact that he was exposed to both French and Arabic at the nursery from this young age in addition to a very rich English. There are many benefits of being exposed to different languages and I am sure we are already repeating those benefits today. Overall both the staff and the students come form such different demographics that it was a very diverse environment which I came to appreciate even more now that we are lacking it in our new school. I am happy to say his physical, verbal, emotional development in the nursery has exceeded my expectations. I would like to thank every single person who works at Odyssey again for the past 3 amazing years; from the nursery manager Ms Alueshima, to his teachers Ms Jennifer, Ms Uma, Ms Shane, Ms Karin, Ms Aya, Ms Lamia, to all teaching assistants who knew him very well but especially Ms Ria, Ms Marilyn, Ms Ajula, Ms Dayna, Ms Alma, the support staff Ms Deema and Ms Iris and the finest gentleman Mr Soran, the very knowledgeable nurse Ms Sumiya.. Let me also mention Ms Lizahn and Ms Janet as well from the early days, they have also been missed. I cannot thank everyone enough for their amazing support and we will be sure to back for the summer or winter camps. Thank you!
