I had a very disappointing experience with Starfish 4 Nursery. After visiting the nursery, I confirmed the enrollment via WhatsApp, received the invoice, and paid. Only after I paid, they sent me the handbook. In the handbook, I was surprised to read the sentence: “biting can sometimes occur at the nursery.” I immediately raised my concerns because if proper supervision is in place, this should not happen. After several messages from my side, I finally received a call from a lady who was pretentious and condescending. Her attitude was very negative. She told me that “all nurseries include this in their handbook,” which is simply not true. I checked 5 other nurseries, and none of them mention biting. In the end, I requested a full refund. This whole experience was extremely disappointing. I would never send my son to a place that cannot guarantee his safety and wellbeing. I am not talking about a simple fall or accident – biting can and should be prevented with proper supervision, which is exactly why parents trust nurseries in the first place.

The staff are professional and caring toward little ones. They helped me little one ease into nursery by allowing the nanny to accompany him the first few days (he had bad separation anxiety). They do a lot of developmental and educational activities and my little one seems to be learning a lot of new things. They also do regular assessments and give lots of feedback. I also appreciate how they take pictures of my LO on a daily basis to show me what they have been up to.

An amazing place for your kid to start their new journey. Everyone here is very caring, co-operative, understanding, helpful!! I would say I am falling short of adjectives here.. My daughter had always stayed with me she took just a week to adapt to this new place and now is excited to go to her class everyday. They do organize multiple activities every month like international day,messy day,splash day,farmer's market and they really put in a lot of effort so that the kids really enjoy them full. They have a fruit bowl once every week, helping kids to know all the fruits. The entire team at Starfish takes care of the kids around, I have myself seen teacher having kids on her lap/in her arms all throughout as and when required. No doubt this is the best nursery in Doha.

Very caring group of carers and educators focusing on natural growth and play with each child. Excellent and organized administrators that work well with staff as well as parents and great support staff including a dedicated and vigilant nurse (important to me as a mom of a child with multiple severe allergies). My son’s quite a shy boy and very attached so not always easy to send him into daycare but it’s been over a year and consistently happy with the care and community my child receives.

We have been a Starfish family for the past two years. Although they are one of the more expensive nurseries in Doha, the teachers are quite competent and really care about each of the kids. It is clear that Starfish invests in their teachers and staff. The facility is nice and is kept impecably clean. I also appreciate that safety is a priority at starfish. Everyone knows my child and who should be with her (picking her up/dropping her off), they have a security guard who is also very helpful (making sure the kids are safe both entering the school and in the parking lot), and they have an electronic keycard system that helps keep track of your child’s presence and absence. When I kept my daughter home one day just for a fun day, they even called to make sure everything was okay. My daughter loved Starfish. They’ve always been so kind, caring, flexible, understanding, and most of all FUN! Even in the midst of COVID, Starfish went out of their way to make sure that the kids could stay in touch with their teachers and helped parents with activities through zoom. They really are a top-notch facility, and I highly recommend them.
