About this nursery

Umm Zayd Bint Utbah Early Childhood School, located in the Alhazm area of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, serves as an educational institution dedicated to early childhood development. This school is part of the Kingdom's comprehensive Early Childhood Program, a government initiative designed to effectively prepare young students for more advanced stages of their academic journey. Typically, these programs cater to children from the age of three up to the completion of the third grade of primary school, generally around eight years old, aiming to bridge the educational gap between kindergarten and early primary levels. The school's address is 8500 Badr Al-Tamam, RKHA8500, 3359, Alhazm, Riyadh 14966. It currently holds a Google rating of 3.3 stars based on 28 user reviews, indicating a varied range of experiences among parents and visitors. Feedback from reviews offers insights into both its strengths and areas that may require attention. Positive comments appreciate the principal's dedication, the cooperative nature of some administrative staff like Ms. Reem, and specific teachers like Ms. Yasmine, who is noted for being generous, nurturing, and motivational. One reviewer particularly highlighted an "integrated and wonderful playground" at the school. However, some reviews express significant concerns regarding school management, the treatment of visitors, and student dismissal procedures, where children reportedly leave unattended. Issues with the condition of the bus for first-grade students, including pollution and weak air conditioning, were also raised. There were also observations about teachers' use of cell phones in classrooms and perceived pressure on mothers for home study. Despite these criticisms, the presence of dedicated teachers and a clear emphasis on student academic performance are recurring themes. The broader context of early childhood education in Saudi Arabia, as highlighted by the Ministry of Education, underscores its importance in enhancing student performance in both international and national assessments.

Unfortunately, the way they treat this school is not like educated people. You enter the school and want to ask about something, but no one pays you any attention. Ok, I want to transfer the student to you. No. Where is the principal? She is busy?! Ok, give me something and give me a solution. I don’t know if you ask one of them and she evades you and throws you to the one after her. This is the first time I’ve seen a school where the teachers go out with the students at the same time?!

A very bad school, bad management, no integrity at all, no shifts at school, every child goes out alone, they are not responsible for anyone except the children they care for and are close to, the guard who is just there to show off has no integrity in his job, they held a meeting on the first day and praised themselves until night, and in just two weeks of school we got to know everything, unlike the street, traffic jams, cars pressing on each other, by God it is as if they are on Hajj, and the principal, administrators and teachers are inside, shaded from the sun, and they let the male and female students out into the yard, the sun burns them, and if a mother comes to take her children, they cry and expel the mothers, letting them out into the sun, what kind of treatment is this? Is this a government school?? Where are the schools of the past, and the care and integrity in everything? Unfortunately, there is a lot of talk, philosophizing and praising themselves, and it is completely the opposite. The worst school and administration. As for some of the teachers, to be honest, their teaching is good. They pressure mothers with everything, and the children complain that most of the teachers’ time is spent on their cell phones in the classroom, and they pressure the mothers at home to study, solve problems, or enter the platform. Everything about them is bad, unfortunately, and I really regret it. I tried and tried just so my daughter would be accepted into this school.

An excellent school, and yes, they all have good grades. But some of the comments seem to want to make things their own. The school has a large number of students. If you were in their place, we would have seen you crying.

The bus designated for transporting first-grade students is in very bad condition, causing pollution and black smoke, and the air conditioning is weak. I hope the school will demand that it be replaced or maintained. Thanks to the driver and the bus supervisor.

Their principal is keen, may Allah reward her, and the administrator, Ms. Reem, is cooperative, and the first teacher, Yasmine, is generous, nurturing, and constantly motivating, and gives gifts. A thousand thanks. But I am surprised that they have a very integrated and wonderful playground, and the students do not go out to it? I do not know the reason! But in general, they are excellent.
